Explore the world of Big Data at J On The Beach 2024, a fun and immersive international conference for developers, Data Scientists, and DevOps.

This isn’t your standard corporate summit – it combines excellent talks with world-famous workshops and social events, all hosted in a stunning location just a stone’s throw from the beach. 

This event, which will take place from May 8 to 10, 2024, at the scenic Hotel Occidental in Torremolinos, Málaga, features workshops and talks covering the latest technology trends, from data collection to AI, microservices, and beyond.

Participants will also explore emerging trends, such as decentralized systems, Local-First Software, and innovative AI techniques, such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

The first day is dedicated to hands-on workshops with leaders like Allen Holub, Joe Reis, and Matt Housley, who will guide attendees through cutting-edge data engineering and software architecture practices.

On day two and three, over 40 speakers, including Javier G. Recuenco and Sol Rashidi, will share insights into AI and complex data-based decision-making, among numerous other topic.

“From Stories to Code: Building Software Products with Agility” by Allen Holub – A workshop focusing on agile product development practices.
“Building local-first cooperative swarm systems with Actyx” by Dr. Roland Kuhn – Explore decentralized systems in practical scenarios.
“Connecting all the Things – Developing a peer-to-peer chat app” by Rüdiger Klaehn – Crafting a cross-platform chat application from scratch.

Crema Workshops: These paid sessions are open to all and cover topics like agile software development with Allen Holub and the fundamentals of data engineering with Joe Reis and Matt Housley.
Canela Workshops: These workshops are free for ticket holders but require prior registration due to limited spaces. They feature sessions on container technology with Sean Scott and performance testing with Raúl Marín.
