Twin brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss have given $21 million U.S. to Republican lawmakers ahead of their %Cryptocurrency exchange %Gemini going public.

The brothers, who gave millions to Republicans in last year’s election cycle, are making donations aimed at helping conservatives in the 2026 congressional midterm elections.

The %Winklevoss twins reportedly gave $21 million U.S. to the Digital Freedom Fund political action committee to support GOP candidates in next year’s contest.

The midterms promise to be a bruising political clash that could leave President Donald Trump without the Republican control of Congress he needs to push a pro-crypto agenda.

The latest political donations from the Winklevoss brothers comes as they prepare to hold an initial public offering (IPO) for their crypto exchange.

Gemini, which is the Latin word for “twin,” plans to list on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol “GEMI”

In its last round of private financing, Gemini was valued at $7.1 billion U.S. The company is expected to raise about $400 million U.S. from its stock sale.

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss famously claimed that Mark Zuckerberg stole their idea for Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: $META) owned Facebook while they were classmates at Harvard University.

The brothers used a multi-million-dollar settlement they received in the Facebook lawsuit to buy %Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) in its early days, making them billionaires.

An exact date for Gemini’s IPO has not yet been set.
