Crypto Job Postings Tripled In September As Industry Heats Up

Cryptocurrency companies are ramping up their hiring as prices for digital assets rally and the “crypto winter” that began a year ago shows signs of ending.

The number of job postings in the cryptocurrency industry more than tripled between July and September of this year as the industry once again heats up.

Crypto firms listed 1,241 job openings in September compared to 886 in August and 382 in July, according to data from crypto recruitment platform CryptoJobsList.

The September total was more than double the 573 jobs posted in January of this year, which was the busiest month of the year until August.

The number of different companies recruiting increased to 125 in September compared to 107 in July as crypto prices began to rise following a prolonged downturn.

The strong rebound in job postings came as Bitcoin’s (CRYPTO: $BTC) price rose 42% in this year’s third quarter, hitting its current level of $86,000 U.S.

CryptoJobsList said that job postings in the industry are accelerating following a subdued year for crypto hirings in 2025 and an anemic first half to this year.

However, while job listings surged in September of this year, applications have not.

CryptoJobsList recorded under 20,000 applications in the month, suggesting that the pace of hiring is running ahead of the number of people searching for jobs in the industry.

The crypto job market appears to be entering the fourth quarter with momentum as prices for digital assets strengthen.

Bitcoin’s price hit a low of $58,000 U.S. at the end of June before rallying since August of this year.
